Full Rules
There’s not much here to shoot - - the captive ball and UTAD via the S-K-Y-L-A-B letters are about it, and the latter is the less drainy of the two choices. Each time you complete Skylab you get two bonus advances; each lit lane at the top and the return lanes give you one advance. The little red rollover buttons labeled “change” alternate which lanes are lit for an advance. Bonus maxes at 24K and is doubled on the last ball.
Ignore the captive balls unless the Special award is active and good for either an extra ball or significant points - - check the instruction card or watch other players to see. If it’s on, getting all 5 balls to the lit side scores it. If not, even after maxing out your bonus, UTAD is still safer than shooting the captive ball.
Playfield Risk
The ball will be going up and down the sides all the time; your goal is to manage the angle of return to avoid the slingshots, center drain and outlanes. Easier said than done. If the ball looks headed for an outlane, try to get it to hit the angled rubber above the return lane to get it to go there instead.
