Quickie Version

Spinner all day from the right flipper, drop targets from the left.

center saucer, ideally nudging so that double bonus is lit when the ball drops in. The saucer lights cycle clockwise on top slingshot hits, so count how many you’ll need before you plunge.

Full Rules

One of several pool-themed games where your goal is to collect all 15 pool balls. On this game, 14 of these are in two rows of seven stand-up targets on each side. The last is the eight ball, earned from either the top center lane [your Skill Shot] or the center saucer [risky shot]. The eight ball shot also opens the ball return gate on the lower right side.

Bonus is 1000 per pool ball, 15k max; the bonus is doubled on the second-last ball (ball 4 in tournament play) and tripled on the last ball (ball 5). The game is therefore highly skewed towards the last two balls since bonus is a large part of your overall score.

One drawback of this game is that once you’ve collected all of the pool balls, there’s not much to do - - the targets don’t reset in the replay version like they do in the add-a-ball one, and there’s no collect bonus feature. About all that’s left are the lanes for 500 or 1000 each and the bumper for 1000 at that stage.

# **Hot Tip [EM, SS - Williams, 1977]

*Shot to Master: Spinner.*

Right flipper: Spinner all day. The only way to get double bonus is landing in the top saucer when lit for it, so keep trying until you get it. Then keep shooting it anyway for spinner points, advances and other saucer points.

Left flipper: shoot the “H-O-T-T-I-P” drop targets to light the spinner. Once the spinner is lit, try to get the ball on the right flipper for a spinner shot; one way is to shatz, since the space above the flippers is somewhat wide. You can still shoot at the drop targets, which are worth 1000 apiece [instead of 100] once you’ve completed them, but I prefer to focus on the spinner at that point; it’s safer.

Playfield Risk

Bumper action and rebounds off of the drop targets and captive ball, i.e. everything but the spinner.
