Quickie Version

Top saucer at least once right away, then UTAD via any of the left orbit star rollovers, right spinner or saucer (this ejects through a gate to the top), unless you can hit the left 50,000 lane reliably.

Go-To Flipper

Full Rules

Can you hit a tight shot? Willing to risk a rebound that often drains if you miss? If so, shoot the left 50,000 lane all day from the right flipper, and be rewarded with both big points and a unique whistling / screeching sound effect. If not, go for bonus. Base bonus is built by 1000 for each drop target. Completing sets of five lanes (A-B-C top lanes plus D-E return lanes, lane change is not available), shooting the top saucer, or completing both target banks to spell “PINBALL” increases the bonus multiplier. The saucer shot also lights the spinner, which stays lit for the rest of the game. Maximums are 29K and 5X for 145,000 total. Bonus multiplier holds across balls, so it’s useful to build it up a.s.a.p., too. Two good reasons to shoot the saucer early.

I tend to stick with UTAD and ignore the bottom target bank. You should always ignore the two red side stand-up targets.

The whole sound scheme for Pinball Lizard is unique - - drop target sounds, return lanes sounds, spinner, bonus count, whistle lane, they’re all unlike what you’re used to hearing. Enjoy the variety.

Playfield Risk

Occasional bad feeds from the top and of course rebounds from the targets; all the more reason to go UTAD. Missing the 50K shot leads to risky side-to-side action.
