Like Seawitch, the long version is pretty much the same, as the two machines are very similar. Shoot the spinner on the right to get to the top right target bank; complete that for 2X. Next is the center bank for 3X, then the left bank via the left orbit for 4X. Repeat the sequence for 5X, 6X and 7X. Your bonus multiplier maxes out at 7X as for Seawitch, but for Dragonfist, the base goes up to 100K for a total potential of 700K (vs. Seawitch’s 273K).

The spinner value is progressively raised by 200 points as on Seawitch, but instead coming from stand-up targets, it’s linked to how many drop target banks you’ve completed to advance your multiplier. Since you can raise that 6 steps from 1X to 7X and the spinner starts at 100, it maxes out at 1300 per spin vs. Seawitch’s 1000.

Drop targets and inlanes advance your base bonus. Don’t bother shooting at the center drops once your multiplier is maxed out, though, just shoot the left orbit and spinner and you’ll get some advances as the ball bounces around up top.

Instead of loops on Seawitch, Dragonfist uses the left orbit shot as its stand-up value-boosted shot. Starts at 5K, goes up 2K per target to max of 21K (if you get all 9, they reset).

There’s one other item that *might* be relevant depending on game settings. The game awards a special when your spinner shot runs exactly a multiple of 20 spins, i.e. 20, 40, 60 or 80. It’s possible that the game will be set to award points for specials, typically 50K. If so, a spinner shot could be extra valuable. Too bad you can’t really try for a specific number of spins like that.

Note that you can’t directly shoot for the drop targets at the top left or top right, just shoot the spinner or orbit and hope the ball rattles a bit from side to side or gets kicked into them by a bumper. Between that and the 50K for specials, there’s a higher than average element of luck to this game. My own experience is that the spinner shot can be tight, making the left orbit shot the better of the two to take, especially if the spinner shot rarely succeeds in clearing the drop target bank above it.

Playfield Risk

Mostly feeds on either side of the center 3-bank going out of control. Left center exits seem to be worse than right side exits. Missing spinner shots is more dangerous than missing left orbit shots.
